March 2017

March. Lots of home projects. Some pics of me trying to paint he hallway with Ruby sitting on top of me. Clara trying to steal some cake from the fridge. Backyard activities. Bottle feedings. Ruby learning to climb onto the kitchen table. Ruby being the cutest little Cougar fan. Seeing Mary Poppins at Centerpoint theater with my family. (It's always fun to see Craig Williams, my friend from growing up, perform.) Playing baseball in the backyard with our cute neighbors Keyara and Michael Hill. (Keyara has Down syndrome and Michael has Autism. They are both just wonderful. We love them!) Troy doing his nightly studies. And Ruby in a diaper box. An idea I'm sure Jackson came up with. It was a good month.

March 30, 2017: "A couple weeks ago, @cchd21 brought me some cake for my birthday. A little while later, I could hear Clara in the fridge getting a drink. She came RUNNING into the living room holding this plate and saying "Cake! Cake!" with wide eyes. She was pretty sure the fridge had gifted her a dessert, and she couldn't believe her good fortune. It was so funny! Don't worry I shared with her. #deliciousness🍰"

March 8, 2017: "Always a good sign when you come out of the bathroom to find your one year old on the kitchen table. 🙈 She's got her climbing up technique down. Not so much the climbing down part. Ha."

In other news, the kitchen chairs have been relocated to the middle of the living room to save Ruby from a traumatic brain injury. ☺"

Park Day with Gma & Gpa

My parents took our kids to the park while we did our first open house. Bless them forever. They took some really cute pics of them at the park. These kids sure love their grandparents!

Open Houses

A few more pictures and posts of the house. I used these for the announcements I posted on social media about our two open houses. We had a great turn out for the first open house and showed lots of people the house. My friend Laurie (who is a realtor) offered to be there to help. It was so nice of her. We were able to ask her lots of questions and have her as a resource while people were touring the house. She's the one who encouraged me to keep posting about the house on social media.

The second open house didn't have a great turn out. In fact, only one person came. Ha. But it all worked out in the end as we were able to sell the house and got a great offer. We had been so worried about being able to sell the home with its foundation problem, but we found a family that was very happy to be buying a discounted home in the area. It was a blessing.

Bushman Kids Photoshoot- Spring 2017

At the end of March, we had the kids' picture taken at a Fotofly studio in Layton. This was a gift from my parents. You pay a flat fee and they take as many pictures as you'd like inside the studio. You can even do wardrobe changes if you'd like. It went really well. I love the pictures we got from the session. The photographer was really cute with our kids and very patient with their energy and less than perfect cooperation. I'm so glad we did it!
