Wow, September has gone by fast. I was sort of all blogged out after my last bout of posts from our summer activities. I decided I'd jump back on the bandwagon and give you all an update because I know you've been waiting on the edge of your seats to see what we've been up to! ;)
{Game Day}
The beginning of the month started out with a Cougar victory. Too bad they haven't been doing so hot since then... but we won't talk about that. We celebrated the first cougar game in style-- a whole family in cougar gear.

My friend Kindi took this picture while Jackson played at her house for a couple hours on game day. These boys are so cute together.
We don't have cable, but it just so happens that Troy's school has a big flat screen and gets the Mountain. Who'd have thought? We took advantage of the facilities with the Ashbys and the Serafines.
Matt taught Jackson how to play pool... with a ping pong paddle... actually Jackson just wouldn't let go of the paddle for anything and then he tried to hit these balls with it. Not so successful.
{Children's Museum}
On September 8th, we went to the Phoenix Children's Museum for the first time. We went with Kindi, Jack & Colt Wahlstrom to celebrate Jack's birthday. It was SO much fun. (Free library tickets continue to bring joy to the Bushman family ;) Here's what we did...
Exploring a playground of recycled materials. Here we learned that Jackson is afraid of heights. He didn't like this activity much, which explains his nervous expression.

Riding through the "car wash" on little tricycles. Jackson loved this. I thought it was quite possibly the cutest thing I'd ever seen. (can you tell I had just as much fun as Jackson at the museum? :)
JT loved that he could see his reflection in the car wash tunnel. Look at his expression. It kills me! What do you think is going through his mind? "Man, I look good!" Ha ha!
The favorite spot was the 0-3 playground room. Lots of toys and slides and most importantly, padded seats for moms. Yes! Kindi and I were big fans.
When a little person stands on this metal circle, air blows up. Jackson and Colt loved it. Jackson would throw up his hands when he felt the air. Colt would just stand there for a long time and let his shirt blow up. Hilarious.
The entire room was decorated in doorknobs. So cute!

We also visited the noodle forest while at the museum. It made Jackson a little nervous. But Jack W. helped him be an explorer.
This was also a favorite attraction. Golf balls + cake pans = beautiful music.

{Sleeping}
In the last few weeks we have successfully grown 3 molars and are working on the fourth. Thus, sleep hasn't been the greatest. That being said, I was able to get some sleeping photos because once he fell asleep, he was really out. (Otherwise I would never dare taking a picture.)
He likes to be curled up in the corner. If you look closely you can see the parts of the crib he has nibbled away. All those blankets were wrapped around the crib sides in an effort to protect them from Jackson's pearly whites. You can see how well that works. I finally put all the blankets away last week. I guess if he wants to eat wood, he can.
{Spiderman Birthday Party}
Jack Wahlstrom's birthday party was on September 12th. It was pretty much the coolest party we've ever attended, and basically like Christmas for Jackson. See below:
The theme was Superheros. First we we completed a "superhero training" course. Above you can see Jackson spraying "bad guys" with silly string.
I love this picture. These are the Crums, (Michael, Josh, Andrew and Callie.) They're one of the cute families from our ward. You can see how much fun the older kids had with the silly string.
The obstacle course concluded with this assignment. After everyone had finished "Superhero Training Camp." The new superheros were awarded capes. Yes, handmade, personalized capes.
I didn't know if Jackson would like his, but he in fact loves it. He wore it the rest of the day. We almost went grocery shopping in the cape.
The other kids were equally excited about their superhero gear.
The we did a pinata. Jackson thought hitting a flying object with a bat was a great idea.
Spiderman came to visit at the end of the party! It was classic. Spiderman entered, there were a few moments of silence, and then in unison several children started screaming and running for their parents. Ha ha. I'm laughing out loud remembering it. Jackson was okay with Spiderman unless he had to sit on his lap for a picture, then he wasn't so sure.
Wow what a great party. We came home with all sorts of prizes. Jackson was in heaven. (Kindi you are amazing! Thank you soooo much for inviting us. We both loved it.)
On various occasions Jackson has wanted his cape on the moment he is pulled out of his crib in the morning.
He walks around in it with this expression on his face like, "I am so cool right now." I love it. It looks especially cute with his new superhero jammies that came in a package from Grandma Barneck a few weeks ago. Thanks mom!
{Boy Time with Jack and Coltie}
We have had a blast the last few weeks playing with various little boys in our ward. Playgroups, trips to the splash pad/pool, and to the park have kept us busy in the record-breaking heat we've been having. (Seriously, it was 111 last Saturday. Gross.) Jackson
loves his new friends. We've spent a lot of time with Jack and Colt Wahlstrom. Now when I ask JT if he wants to go visit Jack and Coltie, he says "Ohhhh!", gets very excited and sort of jumps around in glee. It's pretty funny.

The boys bounced on the seats for a while after their ice cream sugar highs hit. ;)
We stopped to drop something off at the Wahlstroms and ended up visiting for a while. The boys took advantage of this opportunity to drive the car.
Kindi always has lots of Capri Suns to share with Jackson. Thus, Jackson loves Kindi, although, not only for that reason. (Our little friend Colby Peterson wasn't feeling too hot so we didn't catch him in the picture.)
{Miscellaneous September Happenings}

For a minute I thought Jackson was going to start eating slices of bread. No, he just liked to lick of the butter.
We found some shoes for $4 on clearance. Hooray! Jackson was very possessive of them as soon as he saw them. He wore them around the house like this for a while.
He didn't seem too concerned that his pants were missing.
Bath time. It seems like we've had an usual amount of dirt to scrub off lately. Maybe because we've been off having so much fun. Nevertheless, I felt like we could use some updated tub pictures.
Jackson's appreciation of shoes continues. It doesn't matter whose they are.
And lately he's liked sunglasses as well.
