Ruby- 5 months

5 months already! This girl is growing so fast. We just can't imagine our lives without this sweet girl around. Read on to hear more about what Ruby is doing at 5 months.

Instagram Post, July 11, 2016:

Ruby is 5 months old today. How does the time go so fast? Ruby loves her exersaucer. She has entered the stage where she never stops moving. She's constantly kicking or trying to grab something. She loves to put things in her mouth. She is still pretty patient with Clara laying on top of her. However, she might be growing a little weary of that practice. 😉 Ruby started rice cereal last week and loves it. She attacks the spoon at every bite. She is perfecting her giggle and getting even more rolls. Her beautiful cheeks are holding strong. And as seen by this picture, Miss Ruby Grace is loved more than ever.

When she is awake, her siblings flock to her. I think she likes it that way. :)

Instagram Post, July 14, 2016:

Yesterday, Jackson was trying to entertain Ruby while I was finishing something. Next thing I know, Ruby is wearing his Dodgers hat. Jackson took this picture of Ruby with his camera and I cannot stop laughing. It highlights her cheeks so well! 😂

Instagram Post, July 13, 2016:

Ruby Grace Bushman + Tyler Read Dalling ❤ They just looked so cute on that blanket together today. It also looked like Ruby could maybe eat Tyler. 😂 So much fun at the park with Christy and our combined eight children today.

I love her rolls so much.

Jackson's Baseball Season

Jackson loves baseball so much. It's been really fun watching him excel at it. This year he was on the same team as his buddy Seth again. They had a blast together. They took to practicing with Troy in our backyard regularly. It was really cute. This year, the games were coach pitch. Jackson did really well and we loved watching him. We had quite the cheering section at some of the games. Grandma and Grandpa Barneck, Grandma and Grandpa Bushman, Grandma and Grandpa Mabey, and then our family too. It was great!

Finding Dory in Theaters

My mom treated us to a matinee showing of "Finding Dory" in early July. It was such a cute movie. And surprisingly relateable for an animated film. I teared up a couple times while I watched. There were a few scenes that hit close to home. The worries you have when you have a child with special needs, and the things you do to keep them safe. The ending was just perfect. I highly recommend this movie.

It was bit crazy taking all 4 kids to the theater. (As we expected. Ha.) Luckily for us, our showing was almost empty so it didn't matter. It was a fun outing. Thanks so much Grandma!

Instagram Post, July 6, 2016:

We went to Finding Dory with Grandma and Aunt Ashley today. Such a cute movie! Clara, Gray and Ruby all did great considering it was their first time at a movie theater.

Instagram Post, July 6, 2016:

Clara didn't understand what going to a movie meant, so we told her we were going to go get popcorn. She thought that meant we were making popcorn at home and was mad when we got into the car. When she saw the huge tub of popcorn we were going to share, she thought it was all hers. She held it on her lap like this and said, "No more!" everytime someone took a handful. She was SO happy watching the movie with the popcorn tub that was as big as she is. 😂

4th of July Barneck BBQ

My family had us over for a BBQ the evening of the 4th. It was delicious as usual, with great company and smores! We had a great time. Hanging out on my parent's patio is one of my most favorite things.

Instagram Post, July 4, 2016:

Nothing better than a smore on the 4th of July. I had good intentions to take a family picture today, but forgot. Happy Independence Day from us, anyhow. So grateful for family and freedom on this special holiday. ❤

4th of July Backyard Swim Day

To celebrate the holiday, we decorated some sugar cookies and broke out the slip an slide and swimming pools. The kids were on cloud nine. We had to drag them inside three hours later. We should do swim days like this more often because everyone loves them. It was the perfect way to spend the morning of our holiday.

Provo Freedom Festival

In honor of the holiday weekend, we decided to meet some of our Bushman family in Provo for the Freedom Festival. We walked around, terrorized Gray on a ride, (whoops), got really hot, played a carnival game, and got free fireman hats from the Provo Fire Department.

After that we went to Pioneer Park to eat a picnic lunch and enjoy the splash pad. The kids loved the splash pad, of course. It was great to spend the morning with family. Holiday weekends are the best! And you can't beat 4th of July in Utah.

Before the ride started.

During the ride. :/

Instagram Post, July 2, 2016:

We hit up the freedom festival in Provo today. After begging and begging to go on a carnival ride, and then screaming and being terrorized by said ride, we appeased Gray's woes by visiting the fishing pond. The boys are so happy with their plastic swords. Thanks for the fun day @christa_bushman and @lexiejohnson05 we had a great time!

Hadley was so cute with Miss Ruby during our adventures.
